Job Summary
Position:
Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – NOC Shift 6P-6A, part‑time/over‑the‑year duties at Independence facility (Independence, MO64057). The role supports a 19‑person nursing unit, working under nursing management, collaborating with 2 CNAs, and delivering bedside care including IVs, wound care, assessments, discharges, admissions, and medication administration.
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to residents.
- Assess resident needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer nursing interventions, including IV therapy, wound care, medication management, and admissions/discharges.
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and support interdisciplinary team members.
- Collaborate with nursing management for care delivery and quality improvement.
$1,500 sign‑on bonus (NOC shift), night differential of $5 per week and $50 per weekend, and opportunity to work in a supportive, family‑like environment.
Required Skills- Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Missouri.
- Clinical assessment skills at appropriate level.
- Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines in long‑term care.
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills, including email usage.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Decision‑making and analytical competency.
- Positive attitude and motivation to work with aging population.
- Prior experience in long‑term care preferred but not required.
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
- Current CPR certification.
