Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity at Three Trails Behavioral Hospital
Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is actively hiring a patient centered Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing behavioral health team! This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals experiencing mental health challenges in a safe, caring, and therapeutic environment.
The Registered Nurse (RN) will:
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations.
- Help develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor therapeutic response and side effects.
- Monitor patient safety and documentation.
- Educate families.
Three Trails Behavioral Hospital will:
- Serve children and adolescents, adults, and seniors with innovative and evidence-based inpatient behavioral health-care focused on individual needs and comfort.
- Create more than 200 new, full-time jobs including nurses, clinicians, therapists, technicians, and administrative staff, when the facility is fully operational.
- Be located at the intersection of I-70 and Little Blue Parkway, adjacent to the Children's Mercy Hospital Outpatient Clinics.
- Feature 120 licensed beds ready to meet the mental health needs of the surrounding community.
- Span more than 88,000 square feet, and will include an activity yard and gym.

Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure for the state of Missouri or Compact.
- Experience in behavioral health, assessments, crisis intervention, and admissions preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to work 12 hour shifts.
