* The Opportunity:

** Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO is seeking a Nursing Intern to join our Cardiovascular Recovery Unit. This opportunity is for students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program who have completed a Fundamentals of Nursing or Med Surg course.

You will provide care to inpatients and outpatients post Cath and EP Lab procedures as well as other cardiac diagnoses, conditions and treatment plans. This unit also specializes in care of stepdown patients, specifically those with acute respiratory needs. This is a fast-paced progressive care unit that specializes in cardiac and acute respiratory patient care.

* * The Work:
*** Performs clinical procedures and provides patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse
* Performs direct and indirect patient care activities
* Provides support to other health care team members
* May perform technical tasks per unit competency validation
** Nursing Interns are restricted from performing any licensed tasks**## ## The Nurse Intern position is for students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program who have completed the Fundamentals of Nursing . We are currently looking for nursing students whose expected graduation date is in 2027/2028.#
