Medical Oncology Clinical Nurse

BJC Health Care seeks a Medical Oncology Clinical Nurse to provide expert, compassionate care to adults undergoing cancer treatment in our St. Louis network. In this on-site role, you will administer chemotherapy and biotherapy, perform thorough patient assessments, manage complex symptoms, and coordinate multidisciplinary treatment plans. You will educate patients and families, support clinical trials and evidence-based practices, and document care in the EMR.

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to medical oncology patients across the treatment continuum.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive infusions following safety protocols and institutional guidelines.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor treatment response, and manage symptoms and side effects.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and maintain regulatory and safety compliance.
• Coordinate care transitions, referrals, and follow-up appointments to support continuity of care.
• Participate in quality improvement, research-connected initiatives, and ongoing clinical education.
