Description:
The role is for a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
This unit is focused on the recovery of surgical patients.
Ideal candidates will have experience in managing complex postoperative cases.
Competence in handling multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia is necessary.
The nurse will be required to provide care to multiple complex patients.
All candidates must pass an EKG exam related to the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
No weekend coverage is required.
Candidates must be able to float within the service line to meet facility needs.
There are no restrictions on requested time off, but it is limited to a maximum of 7 days.
Required certifications include BLS and ACLS, along with proficiency in specific nursing skills such as IV management and telemonitoring.
The environment fosters interdisciplinary support with access to respiratory services and rapid response teams.
