Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring MO or compact RN licensure and NIH Stroke Certification.

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Certification required for this unit
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or related specialty experience required
• Strong advanced assessment and critical thinking skills required
• Experience managing vasoactive drips required
• Familiarity with central line, PICC line, and chest tube placement procedures preferred
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Two professional references required for Missouri assignments

• 36-bed Progressive Care Unit within a Level 2 trauma center hospital with Stroke and STEMI Accreditation
• Patient ratios of 1:3 (AM) to 1:4-5 (PM), supported by patient care techs when stretched
• Predominantly total RN-based care with unit secretaries available 7am-7pm for support
• Utilizes BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• 13-week assignment on 7P-7A night shift
• Rotating weekend and holiday schedule with every 3rd weekend rotation
• Floating required to the Telemetry Unit as needed, with priority given to bonus shift staff
• Provide direct bedside nursing care including hourly rounding and bedside shift report
• Participate in daily leadership rounding as part of unit patient experience standards
• Required dress code: charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms, with black or charcoal grey jackets
• Positive, team-oriented attitude strongly valued on this unit
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
