Position: HSE Technician | Primoris Energy Services |

Job Overview

The HSE Technician assists in the implementation and maintenance of Primoris Energy Services' Health, Safety, and Environmental programs at project sites in and around Independence, Missouri, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and delivery of HSE training programs for employees and subcontractors.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, including incident reports, training logs, and inspection documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of HSE reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through active participation in safety meetings and proactive communication with site personnel.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and company policies, including waste management and spill prevention.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including participating in drills and maintaining emergency equipment.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and employees to address HSE concerns and implement effective solutions.
  • Stay informed about relevant HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
    Associate's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the construction, energy, or industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local HSE regulations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to conduct effective training sessions and deliver clear safety instructions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and lift up to 25 pounds as required by field conditions.
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification in Construction or General Industry preferred.
