Position Overview
The Refinish Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience through meticulous refinishing, ensuring each vehicle is restored to pre‑accident condition. The role involves mixing, color matching, and refinishing vehicles while supporting Gerber’s commitment to speed, quality, and customer excellence. The technician works with all team members to meet facility KPIs and serves as a Brand Ambassador for Gerber Collision & Glass.
Job Responsibilities- Review body work for quality and completeness upon arrival in the paint department.
- Thoroughly mix, color match, and refinish each vehicle.
- Complete all refinish operations as described in the work order.
- Efficiently use and maintain paint material inventory.
- Consistently use all required safety equipment and properly dispose of hazardous waste.
- Attend and collaborate with the team during daily production meetings.
- Work in harmony with the production schedule and coworkers to meet deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2–5+ years of collision repair experience.
- Ability to properly complete all steps in the refinishing process.
- Above‑average quality focus.
- High production capabilities.
- I‑CAR or ASE certifications (bonus).
$23.00 – $33.00 flat rate, performance‑based, tied to booked hours. If total compensation in a pay period is less than minimum wage, clocked hours will be calculated with a guarantee of applicable local or state minimum wage, whichever is greater. Supplemental pay may include bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
