$16.70 to $19.70 per hour
Commission structure: our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.93 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management or 3rd‑key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day‑to‑day operations, promoting a positive and productive environment, partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. This position analyzes store financial statements, commits to the company’s asset protection program, promotes the business, and targets new customer acquisitions.
Our inventory includes jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. Pay is hourly plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance; actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
- Monitor and assist in the training of pawnbrokers so their development meets First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
- Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure that operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated supervisory ability.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist a customer on building exterior or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age 18 years old.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Assistant Store Managers typically work 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
