Merchandising Lead

Position Summary

At Sam’s Club (Walmart subsidiary), we seek a member service associate to support customers, manage the sales floor, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Provide member service by acknowledging employees and identifying member needs, offering guidance and support regarding self‑service technology, assisting members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services.

Assist management with the supervision of associates in assigned areas, including assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, and providing guidance in member service approaches.

Receive and stock supplies and merchandise, organize and maintain the sales floor using equipment and merchandising practices, and complete required documentation.

Maintain safety of the facility by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations to management.

Ensure merchandise presentation meets company standards, handle claims and returns, zone the area, stock, arrange, and organize merchandise, set up displays, remove damaged goods, sign and price merchandise, and identify shrink and damages.

Monitor food and merchandise quality, manage product rotation and recalls, and adhere to sanitation standards.

Oversee picking and staging of club pick‑up orders throughout the day.

Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners, analyzing information, monitoring progress, and identifying improvement opportunities.

Demonstrate and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by guiding practices, implementing action plans, and assisting management to correct issues.

Lead and participate in teams, use shared resources, determine customer needs and priorities, coordinate work assignments, provide advice and feedback, and model adaptability to change.

The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid at $0.35–$3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 6 months retail experience and 6 months customer service experience.

• Experience leading a team, supervising, hiring, evaluating, mentoring, and managing workload.
