Store Sales Associate (Part-Time)

The Salvation Army Thrift Store, Independence, MO, $15.00 per hour, Part-Time | 25 Hours Per Week

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, every purchase and donation helps fund programs that provide hope, support, and assistance to individuals and families in our community. We're looking for friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Retail Sales Associates.

• Greet customers and provide outstanding customer service
• Operate the cash register and accurately process sales transactions
• Assist with opening, closing, and balancing the register as assigned
• Restock merchandise and maintain organized, attractive sales displays
• Sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
• Support daily sales and production goals as part of a team
• Assist donors and customers in a courteous and professional manner

• Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
• Retail, cashier, or customer service experience is helpful but not required

• Approximately 25 hours per week
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

• Paid training on register operations and store procedures
• Ongoing coaching and support from store leadership
• Opportunity to develop retail, customer service, and teamwork skills
