Vice president of Sales / Director of Sales

Missouri-Based Liquor Distributor

Location:

St. Louis (Preferred)

A Missouri-owned and operated liquor distributor is seeking an energetic and engaging Director of Sales / Vice President of Sales to support the continued growth of established accounts and emerging statewide markets. This leadership role will focus on managing and developing customer relationships, expanding territory growth, leading sales teams, and driving supplier and retailer partnerships throughout the state.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong leadership skills, proven sales experience, and a passion for the wine, spirits, and beer industry.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop relationships with existing accounts and statewide market partners
  • Support territory growth alongside the current sales team
  • Present innovative and new products from an expanding portfolio
  • Oversee multiple distribution centers and sales teams
  • Lead, mentor, and support account representatives and sales staff
  • Drive business development initiatives with suppliers and retailers
  • Maintain and grow key account relationships
  • Assist with overall company and brand growth strategies
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support operational and sales objectives
Qualifications

Required

  • Prior sales experience
  • Proven management and leadership background
  • Experience managing key accounts and sales teams
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously

Preferred

  • Experience in wine, spirits, beer sales, or distribution
  • Business development experience
  • Hospitality, route sales, merchandising, or CPG experience
