Hammer & Steel, Inc. is seeking a technically skilled and strategic Business Segment Leader to grow our premier foundation equipment lines: ABI Mobilram telescopic leader mast rigs, Comacchio CH large-diameter piling rigs, and Delmag RH heavy-duty rotary drill rigs. These product lines serve a wide range of deep foundation applications including pile driving, CFA, Kelly drilling, soil mixing, and displacement piling.
As Business Segment Leader, you’ll be the go‑to subject matter expert for these systems—driving equipment strategy, growing sales with new and existing customers, managing lifecycle performance, and collaborating with our European OEM partners. You’ll work cross‑functionally with sales, service and sourcing to ensure our customers receive best‑in‑class solutions and support.
Key Responsibilities- Own equipment and application strategy and lifecycle management.
- Steer market reach activities and training for designated segment to grow sales
- Engage with key customers to establish rapport, increase share of wallet and gather feedback to ensure satisfaction.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, price position and opportunities
- Provide technical training and sales support to sales people and customers
- Serve as liaison with manufacture partners.
- Lead go-to-market initiatives, product launches, and promotional campaigns
- Monitor equipment sales performance and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Travel up to 40% for customer visits, jobsite support, training, and international collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Product management or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical).
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales, product management or equipment support in heavy construction or foundation drilling
- Strong technical aptitude with hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Proven ability to manage complex product portfolios and cross-functional initiatives
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- Data-driven mindset with experience in market analysis and strategic planning
- Valid driver’s license and passport; ability to travel domestically and internationally
