We are currently searching for a self‑motivated, creative, outgoing, and hard‑working individual to join our organization. They will be the primary mini operator on the crew. Compensation based on experience and includes paid holiday and vacation, along with medical, dental, and vision insurance (available 1st day of the month after you start) and a 401(k) matching program.
Work Relationships and ScopeThis is NOT an entry level position! A strong foundation operating either a drill, plow, mini‑x, or vacis is a MUST.
Measures of PerformanceTechnical knowledge of the industry and equipment; quality, quantity, accuracy, timeliness and thoroughness of work performed; ability to communicate effectively and to develop strong working relationships with others; ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required- Prefer at least 2–3 years of experience operating
- Must be flexible and patient
- Must be able to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively; work under pressure and meet time deadlines; analyze problems, propose reasonable solutions; make logical decisions and carry out decisions made; communicate effectively
- Requires ability to obtain a CDL (Class A w/air brakes) driver’s license, Medical Card, and a good driving record
Good dexterity a plus. Job requires lifting, bending, climbing, walking, repetitive hand motion, digging, etc. Accurate visual depth perception. Work performed for this position is mostly outside and involves exposure to inclement weather, loud noise, active machinery, vibration, and confined spaces. This is a fast‑paced work environment.
Equipment OperatedWorking knowledge of hand tools, various power tools, heavy equipment (mini excavator). Knowledge and experience with Vermeer products a plus!
