Maintenance Technician - Senior, Nights

Work Model:
This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at the designated Regal Rexnord office.

Purpose of Position:
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools, and precision-measuring instruments. Installs functional and structural parts in devices or equipment. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment. As needed, performs audits of facility security and utility services, repairs and/or communicates issues. Maintains/issues and completes work orders, and coordinates with outside suppliers of replacement parts and technical services.

Description:

Maintain safe and clean work area. Perform diversified work including installation, maintenance, and repair on a wide variety of machine tools, attachments, and auxiliaries. Diagnose, disassemble, repair or replace parts, reassemble, align and adjust. Create replacement parts (e.g., small shafts, pins, bushings). May perform simple MIG and TIG cutting and welding and complete assessment testing prior to hire. Perform analytical troubleshooting and maintenance functions.

Install and maintain electrical equipment such as motors, power and light circuits, starters and circuit breakers; diagnose electrical circuits, including solid-state controls. Diagnose and repair computer-equipped controllers for manufacturing equipment. May perform minor building repairs. Use shop mathematics, charts, tables, and handbook formulas. Work from complex drawings, wiring diagrams, and sketches. Use a wide variety of measuring instruments and have knowledge of machine tools, methods, and materials.

Operate preventive maintenance system to log maintenance activities, evaluate machine maintenance history, and analyze PM effectiveness. Willingness to advance through continued training and education. Promote and adhere to 6S initiatives. Electrical knowledge/skills may come from existing knowledge or willingness to obtain training. Promote teamwork and train new employees. Adhere to all safety procedures. Understand and adhere to all relevant ISO 9001 QOPs and API 671 guidelines.

Perform other related duties as directed.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift, move, and manipulate up to 30 lbs. Must be comfortable with heights. Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods. Must pass on-site requirements to operate equipment. Must be able to frequently use hand tools and other equipment in routine performance of job.

• Maintain/repair a wide range of machine tools, attachments, and auxiliaries; diagnose, disassemble, repair or replace parts; reassemble and adjust.
• Install and maintain electrical equipment, diagnose electrical circuits, and service controllers for manufacturing equipment.
• Produce replacement parts as needed and perform simple welding tasks if required.
• Operate preventive maintenance systems and analyze maintenance history to improve PM effectiveness.
• Follow safety procedures and ISO/API guidelines; promote 6S initiatives and teamwork.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to coordinate parts and services.

• Experience with diagnostic troubleshooting and maintenance on machinery and electrical systems.
• Ability to read complex drawings, wiring diagrams, and sketches; familiarity with shop mathematics, charts, tables, and handbook formulas.
• Proficiency with testing instruments, hand and power tools, and precision-measuring instruments.
• Capability to work from height and lift up to 30 lbs; comfortable standing/walking for extended periods.
• Willingness to pursue additional training and education; adherence to safety and quality standards (ISO 9001, API 671).
