Artificial Intelligence Engineer

This is an in-office position for those in the Greater St. Louis area!

Brighton Agency is looking for an AI Engineer who’s fired up and ready to help us build the AI-powered tools that drive modern marketing.

• Here’s what you’ll be doing: Build and maintain AI-powered tools and applications that help our team work smarter, think automation, workflow integrations, and custom internal products.
• Write clean, functional code using AI-assisted development workflows—Claude, ChatGPT, Git Hub Copilot, and whatever else gets the job done faster and better.
• Collaborate with strategists, designers, and account teams to understand what they need and turn it into something that works.
• Integrate APIs and third-party platforms to connect the dots between marketing tools, data sources, and AI models.
• Iterate quickly ship a version, get feedback, make it better. You’re not precious about your code; you’re proud of your output.
• Document your work so the team can use it, build on it, and not have to ask you how it works.
• Stay plugged into what’s new in AI development new models, new tools, new ways to build and bring that energy back to the team.

What You’ll Bring to the Party:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field or a portfolio that proves comparable experience building things.
• 0–4 years of experience (yes, that includes internships, capstones, and side projects, side projects that failed are fine too… building it is the point).
• Hands‑on experience with AI development tools, you’ve used Claude (our platform of choice), ChatGPT, Git Hub Copilot, or similar tools to build something, not just play around.
• Comfort with APIs, you’ve called one, built with one, and know what to do when one breaks.
• A “figure it out” mindset, you’re resourceful, you ask good questions, and you don’t wait around to be told what to do next.
• Strong communication skills, you can explain what you built to someone who doesn’t code.
• You think of AI as the most powerful tool in your kit and you use it like it.
