Warehouse Clerk; Temporary

Position: Warehouse Clerk (Temporary)
The hourly rate for this position is $25.00.

Nature and Scope

• The job of the Warehouse Clerk is to assist in maintaining safe, efficient warehouses, with accurate stock item inventories.
• The Warehouse Clerk assists with bi-annual cycle counts of all stock items.
• The Warehouse Clerk assists in unloading and loading trucks occasionally using material handling equipment, receiving stock items & solid fuels into the appropriate systems, and charging out stock items.
• The Warehouse Clerk assists in ensuring that plant personnel receive appropriate PPE & other safety supplies as needed.
• The Warehouse Clerk assists in preparing and scheduling freight shipments for repairs, returns, etc.

Specific Accountabilities

• Assist in ensuring that all routine transactions relating to material receipts, issues, adjustments, and the cycle count process are correctly recorded.
• Maintain a close working relationship with plant personnel.
• Help, as required, to all plant personnel in locating and properly issuing stores parts.
• Assist in verifying dimensions and/or specifications for new and repaired parts to be received, utilizing plant personnel and known parts specifications.
• The Warehouse Clerk assists in performing Bi-annual cycle counts, adjusting as needed, ensuring that all stock items are counted twice per fiscal year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
• Forklift operating experience preferred with willingness to learn other equipment i.e. telehandler and reach truck.
• Experience preferred working with computerized electronic receiving and distribution systems (WMS and/or Microsoft Systems.)
• Must be very well organized and manage time and priorities in a way that results in a minimal backlog.
• Must have a working knowledge of computers and be willing to learn computerized maintenance systems and be capable of applying the knowledge to daily transaction processing.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
