JR Accounting Associate

Jr. Accounting Associate supports the accounting function by performing reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month‑end close. This role bridges transactional accounting (AP/AR) and general ledger accounting, providing flexibility and coverage across the finance department. This is on‑site in Independence, OH.

• Process refund payments to vendors.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Assist with financial reporting.
• Provide backup support for:
• Accounts Payable (invoice processing, vendor inquiries)
• Accounts Receivable (billing, collections support)
• Maintain and improve accounting documentation and procedures.
• Assist with audits and compliance requests.
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 2 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Proficient with Quick Books, Net Suite/Business Central, Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Understanding of:
• General Ledger
• Reconciliations
• Basic GAAP principles
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Process driven.
• Comfortable working with limited direction.
