Customer Support Specialist – Independence, OH
Pay: $20.75/hr
Work schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Resolve customer account problems by researching, analyzing, and communicating with customers and Airgas associates.
- Provide prompt and accurate assistance during incoming customer calls, including supplying invoice copies or proofs of delivery, accepting payments, and answering general account questions.
- Investigate, document, and resolve short‑paid and full‑invoice customer disputes using SAP’s Dispute Management module; identify and implement permanent fixes for root causes.
- Manage accurate and timely data entry for credit memo requests after review and validation, and process cylinder audit or adjustment requests.
- Provide administrative support for the Credit & Collections Department as assigned by the Supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced office environment with internal or external customer‑facing activities.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Knowledge of financial applications within SAP is preferred.
- Customer‑focused behavior, effective decision‑making skills, and data‑analysis ability.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior SAP experience is preferred.
