We are currently seeking an experienced Mid-level Traffic Engineer to support and grow our Transportation Practice in one of our Ohiooffices (Dayton, Cleveland, or Columbus).
Annual Compensation: $95, based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

TRAFFIC ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Technical engineering responsibilities may include:
- Traffic impact studies
- Traffic operations analyses
- Safety studies
- Signal system design
- Signal timing plans
- Maintenance of traffic
- Pavement markings and signage
- Highway lighting design
- Corridor studies
- Ability to identify project issues and facilitate resolution.
- Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
- Project/task management.
- Maintain client relationships.
- Ability to work in a team setting collaboratively with groups of other traffic and transportation/civil engineers.
- Occasionally visit work sites, monitoring project progress and reports findings.
- Ability to meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a work site.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
- P.E. license required.
- PTOE certification a plus.
- 4+ years of experience required.
- Experience working with state DOTs preferred.
- Experience with tools such as Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, SIDRA, Trans Modeler, AutoCAD/Open Roads Designer and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual and ODOT Analysis and Traffic Simulation (OATS) Manual
- Strong technical background with good client skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
