Systems Engineer

MCPC is seeking an ONSITE (Client Based) Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Azure-based server infrastructure, Microsoft Intune endpoint management, and Microsoft 365 administration. This role provides technical leadership in the design, implementation, optimization, and long‑term support of cloud and server environments, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational standards and best practices.

The Systems Engineer serves as a subject‑matter expert, contributing to architecture decisions, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement across infrastructure and endpoint platforms.

• Lead the design, support, and optimization of Windows Server environments hosted in Microsoft Azure.
• Architect, deploy, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable server workloads.
• Oversee patching strategies, performance tuning, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
• Provide technical leadership for infrastructure modernization initiatives and cloud migration efforts.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to cloud architecture, security posture, and operational efficiency.

• Own the administration and strategic use of Microsoft Intune for device compliance, security policy enforcement, and application deployment.
• Define and maintain endpoint security baselines and configuration standards.
• Guide endpoint lifecycle management practices, including onboarding, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex endpoint and device management issues.

• Act as a senior‑level resource for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Entra .
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex user and system‑level issues across the M365 ecosystem.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, service optimization, and governance within Microsoft 365.

• Establish and maintain high‑quality technical documentation, configuration standards, and operational runbooks.
• Collaborate closely with IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability, security, and operational maturity.

• 5+ years of experience in systems or server engineering, including senior‑level responsibilities.
• Advanced experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure and Windows Server environments.
• Deep, hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management strategies.
• Strong experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services at an enterprise level.
• In‑depth knowledge of identity and access management using Entra  (Azure AD).
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, troubleshoot complex issues, and influence platform strategy.
