Dynamics Developer

Location:

On-site in Independence, Ohio

Overview

Our client is a growing Northeast Ohio organization with a long track record of stability and

product innovation. They are expanding their internal ERP and analytics capabilities and are

looking to add a Dynamics Developer who can take ownership of technical delivery across

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) and legacy AX.

What You Will Do

• SME Leadership:
Serve as the lead technical SME for D365 F&O and Dynamics AX,

including configuration support, customizations, upgrades, data movement, and

integrations.

• Design & Documentation:
Lead design sessions to translate business process needs

into technical requirements (user stories, specs, data flows, and acceptance criteria).

• Development:
Build enhancements using best practices in X++ and related tooling.

• Integration & APIs:
Develop and support interfaces and APIs, including OData and other

custom approaches.

• Data Management:
Handle data import/export, conversions, and migrations using

Microsoft toolsets.

• Reporting & Analytics:
Create and maintain Power BI reports, paginated reports, and

contribute to Azure-based analytics architecture (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, and

SQL).

• Release Management:
Utilize LCS and Azure Dev Ops for deployments, environment

management, and release cycles.

• Stakeholder Partnership:
Collaborate with business units to educate users and improve

internal processes.

Technical Environment & Skills

• ERP:
Strong experience with Dynamics AX 2012 and/or D365 Finance and Operations.

• Development: X++ development experience is required.

• Database:
Proficiency with SQL Server and T-SQL (ad hoc reporting, queries, and

stored procedures).

• Analytics:

Experience with Power BI reporting, data modeling, and Azure analytics

services (Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory).

• Operations:
Familiarity with Dev Ops, LCS, and Azure instance management.

• Pluses:
Exposure to Power Automate, C# experience, and comfort with REST/JSON

APIs.

What We Are Looking For

Experience:

7 to 10 years of relevant experience in ERP development and support.

•

Education:

BS or BA in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (a 2-year degree with

significant experience will be considered).

• Communication:
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical

audiences.

• Attributes:
Self-motivated, able to multitask, and a quick learner of new tools.

• Compliance:
Must maintain a valid driver's license.

Work Requirements

• Compliance:
May be required to pass a drug, alcohol, and criminal background check.

• Physical:
Able to perform standard office tasks and occasional light physical activity

(lifting up to 40 pounds).
