Full-Time Clinical Faculty (BSN Required)

The Clinical Instructor is responsible for implementing the clinical component of the Nursing Program. In accordance with established Board of Nursing standards and accreditation requirements, the clinical faculty supervises students practice by providing guidance, direction and support appropriate to the clinical situation. This individual will evaluate and provide feedback on the student's performance and will be accountable for overall program outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver instruction in courses that align with documented qualifications and areas of expertise, assigned by the school.
  • Ensure all instructional activities, required contact hours, and instructional delivery responsibilities based on modality (including laboratory, simulation, and clinical experiences) are completed in accordance with school policies, accreditation standards, program requirements, and the faculty handbook.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled weekly office hours to support student learning, provide academic guidance, and address student questions in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate consistent and meaningful instructional presence based on assigned modality and in accordance with school policy.
  • Support and are accountable for the achievement of student learning outcomes through participation in curriculum implementation, assessment activities, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with accrediting body standards.
  • Accountable to NCLEX preparation throughout the program.
  • Full-time faculty are expected to teach a full workload.
  • Faculty are expected to participate in quarterly professional development week activities to support ongoing education.
  • All faculty are expected to attend all campus meetings, faculty team meetings, and other meetings as designated by their Dean.
  • Faculty may be expected to participate in committees and campus events as designated by the Dean.
  • Faculty are encouraged to attend graduation ceremonies and community events held off campus as designated by the Dean.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Teaching experience preferred. (Minimum of 3 years experience in field of study)
  • 3 years experience as a registered nurse.
  • Active Ohio RN license that has never been encumbered
  • Self-motivated, flexible and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, leadership, peers and community partners.
  • Excellent written communication and strong verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to provide professional licenses and certifications required for specializations and clinical compliance in the state in which you are teaching.
  • Must adhere to the school's policy on faculty immunizations and be able to provide proper documentation.
General Credentialing Requirements

Applicants selected and receiving an offer of employment will be required to complete key credentialing requirements for clinical placements prior to being cleared for start. Full detailed information is provided at time of offer. A summary of requirements includes:

  • Providing copies of official transcripts for all degrees earned
  • Providing a copy of current American Heart Association BLS or ACLS CPR card
  • Completion of a physical form (from within the last 12 months)
  • Immunization documentation for:
    • Hepatitis B
    • MMR
    • TDAP/Tetanus
    • TB (2 step)
    • Varicella
    • FLU (October 1 – April 1 hires)

Our defined compensation structure is market competitive and is built to reward performance. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $69,400.00 to $93,700.00.
