Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and coachable Entry-Level Sales Associate/Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales team. This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who is eager to learn, comfortable with outreach, and excited to build foundational sales skills. A significant portion of this role involves cold calling and outbound prospecting to generate interest and schedule conversations with potential customers.

Must be comfortable in a competitive and fast‑moving sales environment.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Conduct high‑volume outbound cold calls, emails, and other outreaches to prospective brokers, consultants, and clients
  • Support sales team in scheduling introductory meetings or product demos
  • Learn and effectively communicate the company’s products, services, and value proposition
  • Effectively leverage company‑approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, as part of daily workflows and performance expectations to improve efficiency, organization, communication, and overall productivity
  • Develop and hone ability to present and sell to consultants or employer groups of 50‑5,000 employees
  • Support broker distribution and development; generate new leads via broker and direct client sales channels
  • Interpret and qualify Requests for Proposals (RFP’s)
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with the entire Wellness IQ staff
  • Interact with colleagues, management, and vendors to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Frequent travel is an essential function of this role and may include overnight, multi‑day, and out‑of‑state travel for broker meetings, client meetings, conferences, trainings, and other business needs

Requirements & Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • College Degree Preferred
  • 1+ years of sales, customer service, related experience, or any combination of education, experience and training that provides knowledge and abilities to perform the job
  • Comfort with cold calling and objection handling, or willingness to learn quickly
  • Passion for Health and Wellness
  • Insurance brokerage experience specifically in employee benefits preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce, Hubspot, or similar)
  • Experience working toward activity‑based goals or quota‑driven goals

  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills

  • Strong typing skills with ability to learn CRM tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to respond professionally and accurately to requests received from a variety of clients

Computer

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Microsoft Copilot and other company‑supported AI productivity tools
  • Salesforce CRM experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Teams, Zoom or other virtual presentation

Supplemental Pay Types:
  • Commission
  • Travel may be required up to 50% of the time and may vary based on business priorities, sales opportunities, client needs, and territory demands
  • Employees must maintain flexibility and availability for required travel, including occasional short notice travel and onsite attendance as needed
  • Wellness IQ will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of travel requirements whenever practicable, though advance notice may not always be possible

The pay range for this role is:

50,000 - 60,000 USD per year (Corporate Office)
