This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area.
Essential Functions
* Partner with terminal manager to plan and carry out shipping operations
* Monitor daily delivery schedule for drivers
* Organize and sort incoming mail and paperwork
* Verify driver paperwork for each load
* Image/Scan documents into the dispatch system
* Data entry of driver detention pay, calculate hourly pay, layovers, breakdowns
* Receive orders from customers and create loads in dispatch system
* Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts
* Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
* Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, dispatchers, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
* Monitor e-mail for incoming orders, communication between team members
* Admin support including payroll and billing
* On-call duties as needed
