Job Description SummaryThe Warehouse Supervisor – Outbound Operations is responsible for overseeing daily outbound warehouse execution across picking, packing, and shipping functions. This role focuses on frontline leadership, workflow execution, associate coaching, and ensuring operational standards are consistently met.
The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining productivity, accuracy, safety, and adherence to standard operating procedures while supporting a positive and accountable team environment. This position operates within the execution plan established by warehouse leadership and does not own strategic planning, staffing models, or policy decisions.
Department Duties- Supervise day-to-day outbound warehouse operations including picking, packing, and shipping
- Lead daily startup meetings, shift huddles, and shift handoffs
- Monitor workflow throughout the shift and adjust task priorities as needed
- Enforce SOP compliance, scanning discipline, and operational accuracy standards
- Coach Leads and Warehouse Associates on productivity, quality, safety, and performance expectations
- Validate completion of assigned work and ensure shipment deadlines are met
- Identify operational bottlenecks, workflow gaps, and risks; elevate concerns to leadership
- Support onboarding and training of new associates and Leads
- Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Partner with leadership to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain professional communication with internal departments and leadership teams
- Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in outbound operations, including picking, packing, and shipping
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and operational procedures
- Ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners preferred
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational needs
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory operations
- Hands‑on experience with receiving, putaway, and inventory control processes preferred
- Prior experience leading or coaching teams in a warehouse environment strongly preferred
- Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory tracking tools preferred
- Manage all company business according to the cultural objectives of the Company.
- Participate in cross‑functional teams as required to advance the business interests of the organization.
- Compliance with all Company and regulatory policies/guidelines related to associate safety and product quality.
- Pleasant Valley Location in Independence, OH
- Monday – Friday hours will vary
- Overtime when needed
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 20 pounds at times.
