Production Worker​/General Laborer - Independence

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting hourly rate $19.66, with increases at 3, 6 and 12 months and then annually.
• Day shift:
  Monday‑Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm (possible to 4:30pm) and occasional Saturdays.

• Participate in safety programs.

• Be flexible to move within the department and plant as required by production demands.

• Prior woodworking, construction or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
• Attention to detail is critical.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and understand production paperwork and communicate with various departments and personnel to ensure all necessary workflow documentation and paperwork is completed.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Must be 18 years of age or older by hire date.
• Must stretch at the beginning of the shift and after each break.

• Medium physical demand: may exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally, up to 20lbs frequently, and up to 10lbs constantly to move objects.
• Stand for long periods; walk, bend, squat, push, pull, twist and perform repetitive motions.
• Evacuate independently when the alarm sounds.
• Wear required PPE (gloves, steel‑toed shoes, hearing protection, eye protection).
• Work in environments with varying temperatures.
• Wear long pants; depending on the department may wear short‑ or long‑sleeved shirts.
• Use air‑powered tools (sanders, drills, nail and staple guns) and other power tools (portable sanders, saws, drills); company supplies PPE.
