Job Purpose

Plan, control, and monitor the design creation for conferences for Linen Club and Cavallo and samples for customer delivery, within the defined standard of quality and cost.

Job Context & Job Challenges

• Getting designs ready for B&R customers is a challenge because they will not wait for delays. So, priority is given to them, followed by OTC.

• Getting designs ready for ad hoc conferences like Eid, Diwali, etc.

• We need to fix the no of shades to be used per season, otherwise the dying team will be overwhelmed. No of shades has to be in limit and within that we need to make different designs.

Key Result Areas

Conference Presentations

• Coordinate with in-house and outsourced sampling teams for making collection for booking conference in time both for LC and Cavallo

• To follow up with SCM team and vendors for outsourced designs (embroidery, print, jacquard) for good design in time.

• To make all design cards ready with proper presentation and product code for LC and Cavallo.

On Time Sample Delivery

• Focused planning of sampling capacity in-house and outsourced developments, achieving 100% on time samples as per target dates to OTC brands.

• Review product developments and guide the design team. Taking initiative on changing the blend or counts to make different types of yarns & reviewing its feasibility.

• Ensuring perfect color matching, best quality of sample delivered on time.

Article Master for SOP

• Coordinate with SAP team to maintain article and material master with all details like reed, pick, etc. for standardizing for different types of design.

• Following the standard color palette for sampling and bulk.

• Assisting the development team to release the tech sheet to bulk within 48 hours of orders received.

Digitization

• Collecting designs in digital platform for dealers.

• Conceptualizing and managing digital tradeshow.

• Maintaining softcopies of design art works in respective nomenclature, to restore them to attached digital platform for booking for customers and ecommerce.

OTC Sampling Cost Control

• Document all sample bills and costs incurred in development.

• To maintain all records, documents, and bills of sampling cost

• Taking measures to reduce sampling cost, like reducing outsourced sample weaving, releasing the design well before the conference to make it inhouse, clubbing different designs in same blanket, etc.
