Senior Content Editor – Politics, International Affairs & Geopolitics

The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable handling breaking developments, writing in-depth feature articles, and creating insightful explainers that help readers understand the significance of global events.

Key Responsibilities
Cover and analyse political, diplomatic and international developments with a strong focus on geopolitics.
Write high-quality news stories, feature articles, explainers and analytical pieces on current affairs.
Identify emerging global trends and assess their relevance for Indian readers and competitive exam aspirants.
Develop engaging, research-backed content that is accurate, balanced and easy to understand.
Work closely with the editorial team to plan and execute timely coverage of major national and international developments.
Ensure editorial accuracy, factual integrity and adherence to newsroom standards.
Mentor junior team members, provide editorial guidance and contribute to content planning and quality initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Political Science, International Relations or a related discipline.
4–5 years of editorial experience in a reputed digital newsroom (mandatory).
Proven experience covering political and international news.
Strong understanding of global affairs, diplomacy, foreign policy and contemporary geopolitical developments.
Demonstrated ability to write compelling feature articles, explainers and analytical content.
Excellent research, communication and editorial skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced digital publishing environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with the current affairs requirements of competitive examinations such as  UPSC, SSC and other government recruitment exams  will be an added advantage, though  not mandatory .
Understanding of digital publishing best practices, SEO and audience engagement is desirable.
