Role Description  The Childrenwear Designer will be responsible for designing seasonal collections for kids’ apparel, including concept development, sketching, and detailed technical specifications. Day-to-day tasks include researching trends, colors, and fabrics suitable for children, preparing mood boards, and translating ideas into design sheets and samples in coordination with the sampling and production teams. The role involves reviewing fits, ensuring comfort and safety standards, and refining designs based on feedback from merchandising, sales, and quality teams.

The designer will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely development and cost-effective production of new styles. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, requiring regular collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications

Ability to conceptualize and design children’s apparel, including strong sketching skills and experience with kids’ silhouettes, trims, and embellishments.
Proficiency in design software (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools) and comfort working with tech packs and spec sheets.
Knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, pattern making basics, and production processes relevant to children swear.
Understanding of safety, comfort, and durability requirements specific to children’s clothing, including age-appropriate fits and materials.
Strong trend research skills, with the ability to interpret market data, consumer preferences, and global fashion trends for the kids’ segment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple styles and collections simultaneously.
Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field; prior experience in children swear or apparel design is preferred.
