Jagran New Media is hiring Video Editor for its News & Info Team.
Job Responsibilities:
● Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in
the correct format.
● Deliverables:
Corporate videos, testimonial videos, commercial ads, DVCs, TVCs, event
videos, explainer videos, social media reels and motion graphics films.
● Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation
● Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film with dialogues and
graphics.
● Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.
● Create rough and final cuts.
● Understanding of Sound recording, Music compositing, and special effects
● Improve video and sound quality using various video software
● Able to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong organizational skills to manage
multiple projects simultaneously.
Pre requisite:
● 2 - 4 years of work experience as a Video Editor
● Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
● Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Premiere, After
Effects and Final Cut, Audition, Capcut, Davinci Resolve)
● Knowledge of production and cinematography experience
● Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
● Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions
● Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing.
● Understanding of video formats, compression techniques and format.
● Creative mind and storytelling skills.
● Thorough knowledge of timing and continuity.
● Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices
to maximize efficiency.
