About the Role
Performance Guru works with premium brands and real estate developers to create AI-generated video content that is indistinguishable from high-end traditional production. We already have the technical execution covered — AI video editors who can generate, stitch, and composite footage. What we need is someone to own the
** creative vision
** behind every piece of content: what we show, how we show it, when we cut, and what it feels like.
This is a direction role. You will be the person who looks at a raw AI video draft and says  the pacing is wrong here,   this needs a slower push-in,   the music should build here, not there,  or  we need to open on the facade at golden hour, not the lobby.  You think like a film director and a brand strategist at once.
## What You'll Own

- ** Visual storytelling** — defining the narrative arc of every video: what story a 30-second property walkthrough or brand film is actually telling, not just what it shows

- ** Shot direction** — specifying camera movement, framing, angles, and sequencing for AI-generated shots (drone reveals, interior push-ins, lifestyle cutaways, hero shots)

- ** Pacing & transitions** — deciding cut timing, transition style, and rhythm so videos feel cinematic rather than assembled

- ** Sound & music direction** — selecting or briefing music, sound design, and how audio should sync to visual beats

- ** Creative briefs** — translating a client's brand positioning (luxury, minimalist, aspirational, heritage, etc.) into a concrete shot list and mood direction for the production team

- ** Quality control** — reviewing AI-generated drafts against your creative brief and giving specific, actionable direction for revisions

- ** Reference building** — maintaining a library of cinematographic references (real estate cinematography, luxury brand films, top commercial directors) to brief against
## What You Won't Do
- Manage client accounts or sales (that sits with account/strategy teams)
## Who You Are
- Background in
** film direction, cinematography, commercial/ad direction, or video creative direction** — traditional production experience is a strong plus, even without AI tooling experience
- Understand what makes
** real estate and luxury property content
** feel premium: light, scale, material texture, sense of space, lifestyle aspiration
- Understand
** premium brand storytelling** — how positioning (heritage, minimalism, exclusivity, innovation) translates into visual choices
- Strong reference vocabulary: can name and articulate why a shot works, citing directors, cinematographers, or commercial work
- Comfortable giving precise, technical creative feedback (not just  make it better  — but  the push-in is too fast, slow it to 4 seconds and hold on the reflection )
- Bonus: familiarity with AI video generation tools (Runway, Kling, Veo, Luma, Pika) — not required, but helps you brief more effectively
## Why This Role Matters
Every AI studio can generate a video. Almost none can direct one. This role is the differentiator between  AI-made content  and  content nobody can tell is AI-made.  You're the taste and judgment layer that turns technical capability into premium creative output.
