Senior Associate

Role Overview :

As a  Senior Litigation Associate / Assistant Litigation Manager / Litigation Manager  at  Nxt Wave , you will play a key role in developing and executing litigation and risk mitigation strategies. You'll handle preventive and curative legal actions, manage disputes, and ensure strong compliance and contract governance to safeguard the company's interests.

Key Responsibilities:

Litigation Management & Dispute Resolution

Manage ongoing and potential litigation across civil, criminal, labor, consumer, and regulatory domains.
Draft and review pleadings, legal notices, affidavits, complaints, and related documents.
Liaise with external counsel, police authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Conduct legal research and prepare case briefs and summaries.
Represent the company and its directors before courts, tribunals, and authorities.
Maintain litigation trackers and ensure timely filings and appearances.
Support settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution efforts.

Regulatory & Compliance Support

Respond to notices, summons, and inquiries from statutory and regulatory authorities.
Support the legal team in ensuring company-wide compliance with applicable laws.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation

Identify and mitigate potential litigation risks.
Develop strategies to minimize exposure and protect organizational interests.

Contract Management & Documentation

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and partners.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure favorable and compliant contract terms.

General Legal Support

Stay updated on legal developments and assess their business impact.
Assist in responding to audits and regulatory reviews.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to legal process improvement.

Qualifications:

Litigation Manager: 5+ years of experience in litigation (law firms or corporates).
Assistant Litigation Manager: 4+ years of experience.
Senior Litigation Associate: 2+ years of experience handling disputes or regulatory proceedings.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LLB/LLM).

Skills:

Strong understanding of litigation, contracts, and compliance.
Excellent drafting, research, and analytical abilities.
Attention to detail with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases independently and effectively.
