About the Role

Oversee overall supply chain operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, Potato across different states ensuring 100% fulfilment as per production plan.

Responsibilities

- Manage inventory levels, ensuring availability of products without overstocking.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to establish strong relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize supply chain performance.
- Monitor logistics, warehouse operations, and inventory management best practices.
- Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Lead and mentor the supply chain team, promoting professional development and a culture of excellence.
- Manage freight cost reduction across various routes and processes through improved planning.
- Coordinate lifting of potatoes and manage distribution of seed to fields.
- Define raw potato according to variety & its storability and plan for short-, medium- and long-term storage and plan supply according to production plan.
- Design and conduct SOP and quality training for CS workers and casual staff at cold stores and plants.
- Lead internal & external audits and ensure resolution of observations with cold store teams.
- Recruit and onboard casual workers with complete documentation and coordination.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or M.Sc. in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field; master’s degree in Agribusiness preferred.
- Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in potato supply and storage management or related agricultural production roles.
- Preferred Age:
Between 30 - 40 Yrs

Required Skills

- Excellent communication and training skills to facilitate field staff development.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple store operations and supply chain functions.

Preferred Skills

- Prior experience in FMCG (Potato Industry) will be preferred.
- Strategizing and implementing efficient supply chain operations while overseeing multiple store locations to ensure seamless product availability and exceptional customer satisfaction.
