About the Role
Chandigarh University is seeking an experienced and performance-driven Deputy Manager – Counseling to lead admissions and tele-counseling operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a proven track record in admissions or inside sales, and the ability to drive team performance, student conversions, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Performance Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 30–70 Tele-Counselors.
Establish performance benchmarks and ensure achievement of admissions targets.
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and team development initiatives.
Foster employee engagement and drive retention strategies.
Admissions & Revenue Management
Drive admissions conversions and revenue generation through effective counseling strategies.
Monitor and optimize lead conversion rates and admissions funnel performance.
Ensure timely follow-up and closure of prospective student inquiries.
Develop and execute strategies to achieve enrollment objectives.
Operations Management
Oversee daily tele-counseling operations and productivity metrics.
Manage lead allocation, call distribution, and workflow efficiency.
Ensure compliance with organizational processes, quality standards, and best practices.
Continuously improve operational effectiveness and turnaround times.
Training & Development
Coach team members on counseling techniques, objection handling, and sales excellence.
Identify training needs and conduct capability-building initiatives.
Develop future leaders through structured mentoring and succession planning.
MIS & Analytics
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), conversion metrics, and revenue performance.
Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
Utilize data-driven insights to improve decision-making and business outcomes.
Desired Candidate Profile
Graduate in any discipline.
Minimum 6 years of experience in Tele-Counseling, Admissions, Inside Sales, Telesales, or Call Center Operations.
Proven experience managing teams of 30–70 members.
Strong understanding of admissions processes, lead management, and conversion strategies.
Expertise in CRM systems, performance management, and reporting.
Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
Prior experience in the Education, University, or EdTech sector will be preferred.
