Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic, highly accountable Assistant Manager to completely own and lead the Purchase and Store department at our luxury wellness resort in Uttarakhand. As a Head of Department, you will be entirely responsible for the resort’s supply chain efficiency, from strategic vendor alignment for high-end organic/wellness goods to strict inventory control and financial budgeting.
You will bridge the gap between luxury-quality benchmarks and cost-effective operations, leading your team to ensure the resort operates flawlessly.

Department Head Responsibilities

1. Strategic Procurement & Supply Chain Leadership
Department Ownership:
Formulate and execute the annual procurement strategy aligned with the resort’s financial and operational goals.
Sourcing:
Lead the strategic sourcing of premium, niche products required for a luxury wellness property, including organic farm-to-table ingredients, specialized Ayurvedic/spa oils, eco-friendly guest amenities, and engineering machinery.
Negotiations:
Personally handle annual rate contracts (ARCs) and high-value negotiations with major national and regional suppliers to maximize cost efficiency.
Local Eco-Sourcing:
Develop reliable supply chains within Uttarakhand to support sustainable, local sourcing initiatives, navigating mountain logistical challenges effectively.

2. Financial Management & Accountability
Budgetary Control:
Analyze market trends, project price fluctuations, and manage the monthly/annual Capex and Opex budgets for the department.
Variance Management:
Conduct monthly cost-variance analyses and present inventory, wastage, and saving reports directly to the General Manager and Financial Controller.
Audit Readiness:
Establish airtight standard operating procedures (SOPs) for internal and external audits across all store functions.

3. Store, Inventory & Logistics Management
Airtight Inventory Control:
Establish and monitor optimal par stock levels, reorder points, and strict inventory turnover ratios to prevent capital blockages.
Quality Assurance:
Set absolute benchmarks for the receiving, handling, and preservation of high-value, temperature-sensitive wellness and culinary assets.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor the Store and Purchase team, ensuring clear KPIs and seamless day-to-day operations.

4. Qualifications

Education:

Graduation required

Experience:

4 –8 years of experience in hospitality purchase and store operations.
