Job Overview:
As the Communication Manager, you will play a crucial role in fostering effective communication channels within the organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement strategies that enhance internal communication, ensuring that all staff members are well-informed, engaged, and aligned with the organisation's mission, goals, and activities. You will work closely with various departments to coordinate communication efforts, streamline messaging, and promote a culture of transparency and collaboration.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive internal communication plans, including strategies, tactics, and timelines, to effectively disseminate information to staff members.
Manage all internal communication channels, including email newsletters, intranet, staff meetings, and other platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and timely delivery of information.
Collaborate with department heads and project managers to gather relevant updates, achievements, and announcements for dissemination to the entire organisation.
Monitor feedback and engagement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
Coordinate internal events, workshops, and training sessions to promote knowledge sharing, team building, and professional development among staff members.
Serve as a liaison between senior management and employees, facilitating open communication, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive work environment.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in internal communication to continuously improve strategies and tactics.
Requirements:
Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies that have contributed to organisational growth and impact.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and compellingly to diverse audiences.
Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and the ability to innovate and adapt communication strategies to changing circumstances.
Familiarity with communication tools and technologies, including email marketing software, intranet platforms, and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams).
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A passion for social causes and a commitment to the mission and values of the organisation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, journalism, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
4-6 years of experience in communication roles.
Compensation:
Location/Work Environment: This is a full-time, work from office role.
