Peptide chemist

Vitasoft Technologies is a Biopharmaceutical and medicinal R&D laboratory in Genome Valley, Hyderabad seeking a talented Peptide Chemist to join our peptide team at a full-time capacity. This position offers an opportunity to build and lead a peptide development platform to help synthesize target peptide sequences. It will provide significant scientific ownership, hands-on laboratory involvement, and strategic leadership in shaping peptide design, formulation, and purity.

The ideal candidate is a skilled scientist with deep expertise in synthetic organic chemistry & peptide chemistry. They will combine a strong technical background with strategic and data driven decision making. They can thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, bring rigor, adaptability, and attention to detail to every stage of peptide development.

Responsibilities

Extensive, hands-on chemistry experience with a broad range of solution-phase and solid-phase chemistries on automated platforms.
Design, synthesize, and optimize potent, stable peptides, and drive the discovery of novel target peptides.
Ensure project success through analysis and interpretation of complex data (MS, HPLC, NMR) to confirm peptide identity and purity.

Qualifications

Masters in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or a related field with 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

Required Skills

Experience with peptides:
Extensive, hands-on experience with peptide chemistry, including solid phase synthesis, advanced purification techniques, and downstream characterization.
Analytical techniques:
Proficient in techniques such as HPLC, MS, and NMR.
