Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Forklift Mechanic located in Malerkotla. The Forklift Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklift equipment and other warehouse machinery. Daily tasks include inspecting forklifts for mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical problems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Collaboration with team members and reporting on equipment performance are also key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems, including engines, hydraulic systems, and brakes.

Experience with electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting electrical issues in forklifts or similar machinery.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices, including lubrication, cleaning, and component replacement.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication with the ability to clearly report and document repairs and maintenance activities.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in an on-site work environment.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in forklift maintenance or industrial machinery repair is an advantage.
