PositionInformation Systems Security Officer (ISSO) – Onsite (Palm Bay / Indialantic / Melbourne, FL)
Responsibilities- Develop and update RMF documents: SSPs, addendums, POA&Ms, SCTMs, SOPs, CONOPS, test plans and related artifacts.
- Perform security control assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential deficiencies as part of the continuous monitoring program.
- Execute sustainability activities including change management, account management, auditing, media protection, user training and file transfer controls.
- Conduct system audits, baseline validations and Con Mon activities.
- Interface with internal and external customers, program managers, IT staff and senior leadership.
- Deliver initial and annual general/privileged user training and associated functions.
- Support cyber incident response, investigation and resolution actions.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures for accredited systems.
- TS clearance with SCI eligibility and Counterintelligence Polygraph.
- Experience developing SSPs and RMF packages using eMASS.
- Proficiency with security assessment and hardening tools such as SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, Nessus, Rapid7, and NMAP.
- Experience with SIEMs and audit reduction tools such as Splunk.
- Knowledge of wide‑area and local‑area networks, including servers, workstations, routers, switches and firewalls.
- DoDD 8570/8140 IAM Level 1 certification (e.g., Security+CE).
- Minimum 3 years of prior ISSO experience.
- Self‑starter and independent, with strong customer‑service orientation.
- In‑depth knowledge of NIST special publications, CNSS policies and instructions.
- Adjudicated full‑scope polygraph.
- DoDD 8570/8140 IAM Level 2 certification (e.g., CISM, CISSP).
- Experience with shell tools and scripts: CMD, Power Shell, Linux shell.
- Experience auditing Windows, Linux, endpoint devices and virtual machines.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or cybersecurity, or equivalent experience (mandatory).
