Job SummaryThe role is within the CODEX (Cyber Offense and Defense Experts) division. It focuses on using advanced systems to find zero-day vulnerabilities, analyzing and designing programmatic behaviors, and developing, testing, and debugging software applications.
Key Responsibilities- Extract software and firmware from embedded electronic platforms and systems.
- Perform program analysis, reverse engineering, and debugging using tools such as angr, BAP, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, GDB, Ghidra, and Win Dbg.
- Document and communicate approaches and results to internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
- Engage in field tests on modified platforms to validate findings in real‑world environments.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and at least 10 years of practical experience in a technology-related environment.
- Solid understanding of software development and proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
- Experience with Windows or Linux operating systems and assembly language (x86/x64).
- Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, or another STEM discipline.
- Expertise in hardware/software reverse engineering, binary analysis, and the use of disassemblers.
- Experience with full-system emulation for research and analysis.
- Embedded systems analysis and hardware/software/firmware integration.
- Capture The Flag (CTF) experience and fuzzer development.
- Understanding of network protocols and embedded serial communication links (UART, USB, SPI, Ethernet, PCIe).
- Commercial and open-source forensic analysis tool experience; ability to create custom forensic tools.
