Maintenance Technician

Villatel is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our Space Coast team in Melbourne, Florida.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, appearance, and overall condition of Villatel's luxury vacation homes, amenities, and property facilities. This is a hands‑on position that requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to complete a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks.

The ideal candidate is a reliable, solutions‑focused professional with experience across multiple maintenance areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and general property maintenance. This individual will work closely with Operations, Dispatch, Housekeeping, and Guest Experience to respond to maintenance needs quickly and ensure our properties remain safe, operational, and guest‑ready.

Because our properties operate in a hospitality environment, this role requires a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs throughout vacation homes, amenities, facilities, and common areas.
• Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, fixtures, doors, locks, windows, carpentry, and other building components.
• Complete assigned work orders accurately, efficiently, and according to Villatel's quality and safety standards.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and services to identify potential issues before they impact guests or operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment and property issues and determine the appropriate repair or next steps.
• Assist with minor installations, replacements, and property improvement projects as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while completing repairs.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, including issues that may directly impact the guest experience.
• Work closely with Dispatch and Operations to prioritize urgent work orders and manage daily assignments.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Guest Experience to complete repairs during property turnovers and occupied stays while minimizing disruption to guests.
• Communicate the status of repairs, delays, parts needed, or additional work required to the appropriate team members.
• Accurately document completed work, inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities in the company's work order system.
• Maintain a professional and service‑focused approach when interacting with guests, homeowners, vendors, and fellow team members.

• Regularly inspect properties, facilities, and equipment to identify maintenance needs, potential hazards, and safety concerns.
• Properly use and care for company tools, equipment, vehicles, and maintenance supplies.
• Report damaged equipment, recurring maintenance concerns, and larger repair needs to leadership.
• Follow all company safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment when required.
• Support property improvement projects, renovations, installations, and other special assignments as needed.
• Help maintain Villatel's standards for safety, cleanliness, functionality, appearance, and overall property condition.

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in hospitality, residential, commercial, property management, facilities, or a related environment preferred.
