We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support invoice processing and payment activities across four plant locations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices through our ERP system while maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
Responsible For:- Processing all 4 plant sites vendor invoices accurately, on time, and through our ERP System
- · Review, verify, and reconcile discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders
- · Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.
- · Perform weekly check runs, including ACH and Wire payments.
- · Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end closing activities
- · Work with purchasing to ensure proper information is received, and vendor setup is correct.
- · Work with purchasing and receiving when discrepancies occur.
- · Perform other basic clerical duties associated with accounts payable.
- · Reconcile Petty Cash account.
- · Knowledge of Sales and Use Tax.
- · Processes 1099’s for vendors at year's end.
- · Completes special accounting projects as requested
- Customer Service driven with highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- · Excellent follow-up skills and ability to stay committed to seeing complicated problems through to a solution.
- · Prior accounts payable experience using an ERP system.
- · Able to handle highly confidential information.
- · Competency with Excel and Word.
- · Detail-oriented.
- · Some travel is required.
- · Manufacturing background preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 1 - 2 years in accounting or related field
- Strong organizational, analytical, and recording skills
