- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process monthly customer billing.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Track and report on operational expenses, fuel costs, and equipment maintenance budgets.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to waste management and financial reporting.
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and records.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant (preferably in waste management, logistics, or similar industry).
- Proficiency in accounting software (Intuit) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of waste management industry operations and cost structures.
- Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance reporting.
