Ops Project Accountant

Performs regular analysis and audit of revenue transactions to ensure accuracy and proper revenue recognition in compliance with the company’s revenue recognition accounting process. Analyzes completed revenue transactions and verifies compliance with contractual terms, fee schedules, or other formal agreements. Assists in the recording, reconciliation and analysis of revenue. Provides data for external audit of revenue and deferred and interacts with external auditors in completion of audits.

• Prepares journal entries and assists with monthly reconciliations.
• Processes service revenue and prepares final invoices.
• Assist in auditing closed transactions through the reconciliation of components of various order schedule items, including invoices, purchase orders and packing slips.
• Reviews customer contracts and inputs revenue terms and conditions into Oracle.
• Prepares audit packages and works with external auditors in auditing revenue activity.

• Knowledge of general accounting practices in account analysis and reconciliation.

• Gains exposure to more complex aspects of revenue accounting contained in ASC 985-605.
• Ability to use professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a variety of problems and contribute to the fulfillment of projects and organizational objectives.
• Ability to provide solutions to problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors.

• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.
• Ability to pass a background check may also be required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – strong Excel skills.
