This position is based in Elberfeld, Indiana and is expected to work primarily on-site with hybrid work opportunities provided in alignment with business needs and job responsibilities.

Role Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:

This position supports the Controller by managing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role plays a critical part in the month-end close.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy
• Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
• Assist with financial statements and management reports
• Support the Controller with budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and internal controls
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
• Identify process improvements and efficiencies within accounting operations
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Prior experience supporting audits and month-end close
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
