We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to manage core financial operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll on a part-time basis (~10 hours per week). This is not a “busywork” role—it’s about keeping things clean, accurate, and moving. You’ll be expected to work efficiently, stay organized, and operate with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities- Process and code vendor invoices (AP)
- Manage payment scheduling and execution (AP)
- Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies (AP)
- Generate and send invoices (AR)
- Track incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances (AR)
- Reconcile AR accounts and maintain accurate records (AR)
- Assist with monthly close prep (General Support)
- Keep financial records organized and audit‑ready (General Support)
- ~10 hours per week (Time Commitment)
- Flexible schedule but must meet key deadlines (Time Commitment)
- Working during business hours for coordination (Time Commitment)
- 2+ years of experience in AP/AR, payroll, or bookkeeping
- Strong attention to detail—errors in this role create real problems
- Comfortable with accounting software (Quick Books, Xero, or similar)
- Solid spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets)
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Experience in SaaS or subscription billing
- Familiarity with multi‑state payroll
- Process improvement or automation mindset
- Bills are paid on time, without chasing approvals
- Invoices go out consistently and are tracked properly
- Payroll runs cleanly with zero issues
- Financial records are accurate and easy to understand
- Minimal follow‑up to keep things moving
