Responsibilities

• Direct interaction with family members regarding tax and financial matters.
• Assist with family office operations (insurance, payroll, real estate mgmt, foundations, trusts)
• Review tax projections, tax packages, and returns of individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
• Review third-party tax returns for accuracy and ensure timely filing.
• Assess the impact of tax law changes on financial and tax planning strategies, charitable giving, and estate planning.
• Provide oversight with real estate matters, such as insurance, real estate taxes, lease agreements, easements, payroll, and accounting/reporting.
• Lead, coordinate, and manage special projects
• Communicate with internal teams and external advisors.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting
• 7 – 12 years of experience with some exposure to either hedge fund management company or family office
• Prior tax exposure required
• Family office experience preferred
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Self-starter
• Flexibility to quickly pivot between projects as needed
