The Associate Product Manager role supports the Commercial Product Manager. This position is responsible for the product management support of Chicago Faucets commercial faucet product range.
The Associate Product Manager role provides tactical execution to the sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to achieve business and profitability targets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Management (40%)
- Drive pipeline of new products into the Innovative Product Development (IPD) process
- Create materials for IPD milestone meetings
- Support Product Improvement Process (PIM) by working with engineering on product changes to ensure customer expectations are not negatively impacted.
- Supports annual SKU rationalization, identifying products to be re-categorized (catalog, configured, custom) or eliminated.
- Research (30%)
- Conduct primary and secondary market research in support of new products and market trends
- Conduct competitive analysis, feature benefit analysis, market, and price positioning for new and existing products
- Maintains database of competitor activity in SharePoint.
- Marketing (20%)
- Develop sales support packages and sample plan for new product introductions.
- Train customer service, sales, and customers on new product introductions.
- All other duties as assigned. (10%)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Engineering, or Marketing discipline.
- Minimum 5-years’ experience in a product management
- Demonstrated experience in product management.
- 3+ years of Microsoft office experience
- 2+ years of experience in ERP.
Nice to have:
- Strong Microsoft Excel or other data analysis experience Microsoft SharePoint experience

SALARY
Starting from $78,000 / year
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively create and present information; and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, and members of the business community.
- Ability to check the accuracy of reports, forms, records, and comparable data.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries and complaints from employees, managers, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community.
- Ability to discuss difficult topics with employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide numbers, including decimals and fractions.
- Ability to apply financial calculations to business applications (ex: compounded annual growth rate, margin, net present value, internal rate of return, etc.).
