PurposeThe Area Construction Superintendent is responsible for managing and coordinating all daily multi‑discipline construction activities onsite for topside module fabrication, integration, system/sub‑system modular construction, platform construction contracts (PCC), container on water (COW), punches, and other complex specific jobs. The role facilitates effective communication between stakeholders, ensuring compliance with project HSSE, quality, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities- Review area/module construction methods, priorities, and schedule.
- Review system/sub‑system division and coordinate MC and PCC.
- Oversee day‑to‑day construction activities, providing strong leadership.
- Develop and maintain short‑term (look‑ahead) schedules and trackers.
- Ensure teams work according to schedule and plan.
- Direct and supervise site personnel (supervisors).
- Track and report daily progress.
- Enforce job‑site quality and mitigate re‑works.
- Enforce job‑site safety and company HSSE requirements.
- Provide technical expertise on construction techniques, ensuring best practices.
- Address operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve performance and reduce non‑productive time.
- Coordinate interface and priorities between disciplines to solve construction issues and follow up on status and progress to meet the schedule.
- Ensure lessons learned are captured, understanding change impact within and across project system boundaries.
- At least a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field with knowledge of construction principles and processes, and HSSE regulations.
Relevant experience in the construction industry, with strong understanding of construction and commissioning processes in the relevant discipline and practical knowledge of managing and leading teams to ensure smooth site operations.
